Black chalk with touches of white chalk, 235 x 305 mm. Two fairly finished studies of sheep, seen from half rear, plus three other quick line sketches, on brown-grey laid paper with additional studies verso. Chaigneau specialized in pictures of sheep and there are many similar studies in the collection of the Barbizon Museum.
