A fine impression, better in appearance than late printings of the first state and far superior to the later worn and heavily re-worked impressions, on laid paper with large margins. The two-volume Basan Dictionary contains many other original etchings and engravings by or attributed to Aman, Pierre, Bega, Della Bella, Callot, Castiglione, Cochin, Dassonville, Eisen, Hollar, van Laer, Lievens, van Ostade, Perelle, van Vliet, Waterloo and others as well as a mass of biographical information. Bound in brown half-leather and in excellent condition.
