Le Chemin aux Peupliers

Etching, 1925, B. N. Inventaire 127, 214 x 278 mm. Fine impression on wove paper with full margins, signed in pencil and numbered from the edition of 75. Without wanting to claim too much for him, Beurdeley was an accomplished etcher of landscapes, often in a style approaching that of Dunoyer de Segonzac. Although there is a certain repetitive quality to his work, any individual print shows considerable drawing skill and a good degree of personal interpretation. Prices for his work are ridiculously low.
