Battaile de Constantin contre Maxence
Engraving, 153 x 503 mm., Robert-Dumesnil 208 i/ii.
Fine impression on laid paper with good margins; two vertical folds and a short tear in the lower margin. The print is quite rare. The subject is popularly known as "The Battle of the Milvian Bridge," in which struggle Constantin came to power in the Roman Empire in 312, defeating the Emperor Maxentius, and which led to the establishment of Christianity in the empire.
