MacLaughlan: Ruelle du Pecheur

Ruelle du Pecheur

Etching, 1902, 215 x 148 mm., Bruette 50 vi/vi. A very fine, inky impression of one of MacLaughlan's best early prints, printed on golden-toned old paper with the watermark A. Livini, trimmed to a narrow margin by the artist and signed in pencil. The scene is a staircased street or alley in Boulogne-sur-Mer, with women, children and dogs, and washing hanging from high poles.
