Une Répétition a
Lithograph, 1903, 294 x 203 mm., Roger Marx 50 iv/iv, Aitken 107. Fine impression with the added letterpress title and signature and with the advertisement for The Weekly Critical Review verso on tan wove paper with narrow, but probaby full, margins and in fine, clean condition. The image shows a rehearsal on the stage of the Théâtre de L'Oeuvre. The print was used as a program for the play "L'Oasis" by Jean Jullien on December 14, 1903 and for a different production in 1908. Aitken is apparently incorrect in saying that the third state was used in 1903 and the fourth for the 1908 production, as the verso of this sheet clearly says 1903. The third state is actually a proof impression and extremely rare, according to Roger Marx.
