A Natural Order
Ink drawing, 2000, 307 x 267 mm. (framed 474 x 436 mm.). Drawn on a late and damaged impression of Marco da Ravenna's engraving, Entellus and Dares, hybrid creatures clash unavailingly with each other, armed only with fish and bird. The oppositional nature of the original print has given rise to a different conflict, that between the heads and the bodies of the now two sets of opponents. Titled, signed and dated verso.
