Free but finished full-length, detailed study of a standing figure, probably for a figure in a historical painting, in black chalk with touches of white on blue laid paper, signed in pencil. Morin was a student of Cogniet. He exhibited at the Salon from 1833 to 1869, became director of the Rouen Academy and was made a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor. |
