A very fine impression in grey-blue on laid paper with the watermark "Imprimerie Ch. Wittmann",and with good margins, signed and dated in pencil and dedicated to Albert Texier. We know nothing of the artist except, on current evidence, he was an excellent draughtsman in a symbolist-cum-fairytale style and an accomplished print maker. |
