Description: |
Fine, early impressions on laid paper, trimmed unevenly to the subject but essentially complete (The British Museum impressions shown in The Illustrated Bartsch both lack the topmost areas). B. 11 has a tiny rust hole in the shaded wall at the right. Two from a set of six, for sale as a pair. Bartsch initially described the set as by an anonymous artist in the circle of Bonasone. The British Museum has returned them to Bonasone's oeuvre. |
