A fine impression on laid paper with full margins;light paper discoloration within the old mat opening, a brown tape stain at the right side of the image. In the scene, standing dancer is about to receive a visit from an entourage headed by a large, bearded man in near-Eastern dress According to Guerin, there were only a few proofs made of this print, some of them noted "6 epreuves." The fact that it is unsigned, however, makes one suspect a larger edition than he says. |
