Fine impression on thick wove paper with full margins, signed and numbered in pencil. The portfolio, De la Marne au Rhin, was a collection of Forain's observations and comments on the First World War. Taken directly from his drawings, the prints were made by various methods, including photo-lithography and collotype. They are therefore not original prints, but the edition was signed by the artist and the images exist in no other form apart from the original drawings. |
