The miser, wearing a fur robe and a turban, is seated at a table, holding his eyeglasses with his left hand, his right on one of two moneybags on the table. A fine impression on laid paper with small margins; a small glue stain in the blank background. The work is dedicated to M. J. Ettling of Frankfort, amateur of paintings and prints and is dated 15 January, 1772. |
