Description: |
A fine impression in black, printed with plate tone and retroussage, on old laid paper (a few worm holes) with small but full margins, signed in pencil. The scene is of a tree-shaded street lined with fine three- and four-storied homes with iron fencework. The traffic is entirely pedestrian. The etching has an almost impressionist feel, somewhat akin to Childe Hassam's. |
