Description: |
Fine, black impression on chine-appliqué with large, full margins, signed in pencil and noted ed. 12. The scene is a powerful industrial landscape, looking toward the elevated West Side Highway from below, with huge tanks and storage elevators, construction at the right and left and shacks on the puddled ground. A group of men are standing or sitting on the ground and others work in the construction at the right. The strongly contrasted lighting is very effective. |
