Fine impression of this famous image on white wove paper with good, perhaps full, margins; edges a bit rough and right-hand corner tips lost. The title does not appear on the print but only in the text of La Caricature. And the print is signed Honoré rather than Daumier. The image is that of two men and a boy hoisting a huge pear to the ceiling of a barn by means of a rope and pulleys. |
