The full portfolio of six studies lithographed from drawings in the Museum of Erfurt, on three folded sheets, together with the introduction by Edwin Redslob and three ornamental botanical woodcuts, on japan vellum, signed in ink by Olbricht on the justification page and numbered 45 from the edition of 80 on this paper, 100 signed and numbered sets in all. There was a further unsigned edition. In fine condition, some dust and creases and the plain cover folder split. Olbricht was a painter and print maker and specialized in botanical subject. These are all black, silhouette images but of considerable complexity and interest. |
