Fine impression, taken from the book published by L. Curmer, on white wove paper, trimmed along the plate mark which is far from the image itself; the paper a bit dusty and one small brown spot well outside the image. The image is of the sparrow aviary in the Paris Jardin des Plantes, but Daubigny has enclosed the image in a beatifully-drawn vine, making it into an ornamental vignette. |
