Fine, early impression on laid paper with a Huchet watermark, trimmed inside the platemark but with a white margin outside the borderline all around, tipped down along the edges to a mount with Callot's name inscribed in brown ink in an old hand. The image shows the Virgin receiving saints and martyrs at the gate of heaven, with music playing angels in the clouds. A lesser-known but very fine print by the artist. |
