Description: Very fine, strong impression on laid paper with small margins. Although the print is apparently uncatalogued, the provenance of at least two important collections shows the print had some importance. The B.M. impression, they note, was purchased through Colnaghi's from the collection of Richard Ford in 1837 for 250 pounds, a sizeable sum in those days.
