Very fine impression on laid paper with margins; small printer's crease at the top, the right half of the bottom margin ragged with smalltears and losses extending into the image. La Venere Gelosa was an opera with a prologue and three acts, with libretto by N. El Bartolini and music by Francesco Sacrati, first performed in 1643 in Venice at the Teatro Novissimo. The stage settings were designed by Giacomo Torelli. |
