Very fine impression in greenish-black ink with modulated plate tone on laid paper with narrow margins, signed in pencil. The scene is in the Bernese Oberland, and the Alpine peaks dominated the composition, relegating the village to the bottom of the plate. Bruette mentions that there were very few impressions taken from this plate. |
