Description: |
A fine impression in brown on thick wove paper, apparently published by the Revue de l'Art Ancien et Moderne, but unsigned in any form and undescribed by Bruette or LOC. The Revue published, in 1903, an unsigned etching by MacLaughlan dating from the previous year (B. 55) and this is likely to be another such despite its absence from the literature. The scene shows the intersection of several narrow Paris streets, lined with some rather elegant buildings. There is a café on one corner, two horse-drawn vehicles and a number of pedestrians. |
