Fine proof impression with uncleaned plate margins printed in black and grey on laid paper with good margins. The proof is before the diagonal cross hatching in the sky and elsewhere. Some light oil stains in the margins of the sheet. The callotype is used to provide a grey background with drawn white highlights both in line and in area. It is quite effective. |
