Fine impression on laid paper trimmed to the platemark by the artist and signed in pencil on the tab. Although listed in Hausberg simply as etching, the work seems clearly to be soft ground. Ventnor is on the Isle of Wight. Roussel visited there in the summer of 1912. There were 7 proof impressions in two states before the final printing of 30 in the third state. |
