Description: |
Fine impression in brownish-black ink with light plate tone, on laid japan paper, trimmed to the platemark by the artist and signed in pencil on the tab. Verso is a dedication to Miss Hetty Pettigrew, Roussel's model, signed with initials. The plate was cancelled after only 15 impressions. There is a slight deformation of the paper at the top from the presence of old hinges. Mrs. Cyprian Williams was an amateur painter and friend of the artist. |
