| Description: |
Finished design, apparently for a birth register, in brown-black ink and some grey wash on laid paper with the watermark of CSC with a Coronet. Architectural border with allegorical female figures standing in front of pilasters at the sides, praying angels at the top flanking a chalice supported by cherub heads and clouds, the central blank area separated into three panels by hanging floral threads. The drawing comes from a broken album of Novelli drawings dispersed at auction about fifteen years ago. |
