Description: |
Very fine impression on white wove paper, as published in the Revue des Peintres, the subject and borderline complete, cut just into the text top and bottom. The scene is a musician's study with instruments everywhere. It is 2:30 AM, a bad hour at which to practice the trombone. Candlelight illunines the scene as the neighbors come to protest. A portrait of Handel looks askance from the wall. Music catalog # 405. |
